Today we will focus on the topic: Programming Language
Programming language which consists of a set of instruction that produces various kinds of output.
So, before starting this topic let us understand what language is:
Language is a type of medium used for communication. If a person wants to say or order something then he must know any language like Hindi, English, Bengali, etc. same as we compare with the computer language we should also know the language of computer which are C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, etc. to give the command to the computer as we know that the computer cannot run on its own.
You must be knowing that the language of computer is divided into three parts:
  •  Machine Language or Low Level Language
  • Assembly Language or Middle Level Language
  • High Level Language
Machine language is a programming language consists of binary digit i.e. 0 and 1. The computer accepts and responds to this code simultaneously. The coding and editing in low level language is very hard and time consuming.
High level programming language is a type of programming language in which the programmer can write the code in English language using some syntax and symbols used as operators, this makes the programmer to write and edit the program very easily. High level language is used in rapid program development, like making games, general application, etc.

As we know that the computer only understand the low level language i.e. only 0 and 1 so how it can execute (run) high level language. For the execution of high level language program we need a translator tool called compiler. The work of compiler is to translate the high level language to low level language and vice versa.

      Middle Level Language (MLL) is a computer programming language that interacts with the computer system. MLL serves as the bridge between the hardware and programming layer of a computer system. C language is called the MLL because it removes the gap between Low level language and High level language, so the user can make system programming like making operating system or hardware driver, as well as application programming like calculator, paint software, etc.
