Types of Computer Network

Computer Architecture and Networks

Types of Computer Networks
There are various types of computer network which are widely used. These networks are classified according to the geographical area coverage. Basically there are four types of computer networks:

  • Personal Area Network (PAN) – A PAN is a computer network which is connected around a person. It is used to communicate between devices like printers, phones, etc.
  • Local Area Network (LAN) – In LAN two or more computers and peripheral devices are connected within a small area such as room, an office building, etc. In LAN computer terminals are physically connected with wires.
  • Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) – A MAN is a network which covers more area than a LAN. It spreads across a city that is why it is called Metropolitan area network. Cable TV, Telephone Networks, etc. are some common example of MAN.
  • Wide Area Network (WAN) – A wide area network is a telecommunication network that spread across cities, countries or continents.
Network Architecture
Computer Network Architecture is defined as the physical and logical design of the software, hardware, protocols, and media of the transmission of data. Simply we can say that how computers are organized and how tasks are allocated to the computer.
On the basis of architecture, network can be classified into two types:
1. Client Server Network
2. Peer to Peer Network (P2P)
Client Server Network – It is a network where several computers called client are connected to the main computer called the server.
Server: A computer which provides services to the clients and controls the access to hardware, software resources and other resources is called the server.
Client: The computer which request services like data retrieval, storage, etc. from the server is called the client.

Peer to Peer Network (P2P) – It is a network where few computers of similar power and capacity are connected together. There are no exclusive servers or clients in this network. Each computer can act as a server as well as a client.

Thymeleaf function on button click with multiple parameter

how you can write the onclick attribute using Thymeleaf syntax: <button type = "button" th:onclick= "|rejectSalaryPayment(' ${response.uuid} ', ${dto.id} )|" >Reject Salary Payment</button> This assumes that the response.uuid and dto.id variables are available in the current Thymeleaf context.
